Coaching at Competitions

This can range from help in preparation for your first competition, taking a new horse out for the first time or walking the show jumping course and/or warming up for dressage through to competitive riders who seek support and coaching at competition venues. I have a personal sound system so that I can coach you in the warm up without interfering with other competitors.

This service can also be beneficial for those that have to 'go it alone' as I can be that person on the ground as a helping hand and assistant through to coaching you for your specific phase.

Especially for competition riders, it can help enormously to enhance one's mental skills (e.g. thought processes, imagery and awareness) as these play a vital part in what makes a rider perform to the best of their ability.  Being able to focus and cope under pressure both in a competition warm up and in the arena itself is key, along with being able to deal with the horse's behaviour under a more pressurised, and sometimes stressful enviroment, where the adrenalin can rise.  I hope to encourage the development of these skills.
